The Evo 43 is primarily a dayboat and it doesn't try to hide it. The concept of enjoying the wonders of the ocean with loved ones is central to this design, and the emphasis is undeniably on the spacious deck of this boat. The cockpit can be easily expanded from 14 feet 10 inches wide to 20 feet 8 inches with a simple touch of a button. The bi-fold decks are effortlessly unfolded from a vertical position to a flat one on both the port and starboard sides, thanks to the electric hydraulic rams. Simultaneously, the hullsides expand at the aft end of the cockpit.

And then there are the cushions. These cushions are designed to provide optimal comfort for lounging, with a size similar to twin mattresses. Covered in durable outdoor fabric, they offer a soft feel without compromising on firmness. They have the versatility to be arranged as a daybed or sofa, or even used as a float when tethered overboard. Arrange them as you see fit, whether that means grouping them or spreading them apart. And adapt it as your requirements evolve. To be honest, these cushions are quite heavy and can be a bit cumbersome to move around the deck. Fortunately, they appear to be quite secure, even when faced with strong winds.

The cockpit area exudes a sophisticated European design, with its modular components that consist of fibreglass cubes. These cubes have padded, hinged tops, providing convenient storage space inside. Additionally, the modular backrests add to the overall sleek and modern aesthetic. These cubes utilise pegs that securely lock into deck sockets, providing users with the flexibility to rearrange and customise the cockpit space to their preference. They can be strategically positioned around a dining table near the helm, for example, or rearranged to form a barrier at the back of the cockpit—useful for keeping young children in check. Alternatively, you can position them towards the swim platform and use them as lifeguard chairs as your children grow older.

The cockpit sole features flush panels that can be adjusted to provide a comfortable backrest and leg support, allowing you to relax in a reclined position with your knees elevated to heart level. The seats are lined with thinner cushions. Enhance your seating experience by incorporating a backrest from one of the stowage-cube seats. This addition will provide a cushioned headrest, allowing you to enjoy a moment of pure comfort while being surrounded by your loved ones. In my opinion, that's exactly what design should aim for: The boat should fulfil the boater's desires.

The swim platform is sure to be a hit with both children and adults who love the water, thanks to its convenient Opacmare transformer. This is an impressive addition to any yacht, a spacious rectangle swim platform that can be raised on its hydraulic, hinged arms to create a convenient dive platform. In addition to its primary function, it also has the ability to unfold towards the back, providing extra space for the swim platform and even serving as a passerelle. However, there is additional information to consider. The transformer also tilts downward at a 45-degree angle, allowing for a convenient way to exit the water without the need for a ladder. I found the slats between the hinged arms of this device to be quite impressive. They serve multiple purposes, such as functioning as ladder rungs when it's raised, acting as deck planks when it's flat, or even serving as stairs leading into the water. It's a moment when design feels perfectly aligned, like the relief of not accidentally hitting your knee.
